Fine Art Artist & Photographer
“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
― Dorothea Lange
As I move through life and my photographic career, both my view of the world and the way I choose to capture it are ever changing. I am a lover of light and at times, the abscense of it. I am drawn to weather and watch the clouds like most people watch each other; my eyes are forever looking upward. I seek to enjoy most days with laughter and am compelled to take the roads less taken in my current chapter of life. I am a risk taker and of this I am proud. I fear few things and celebrate many. I have loved deeply and am blessed to have found my purpose in life; photography. I am a mother, an adventure seeker, a romanticist, a spiritual woman, an entreprenuer, a good friend. Many of my photographic art pieces are single exposures, while others are the compilation of as many as 8 individual frames. I work for many hours in post production massaging what my camera has recorded into a final piece that represents both how "I" personally saw the subject matter and with the emotion it filled me with. It is almost never as a purist. I have a respect for photography that is captured in the most pure form, but that is not my signature. I like to blend sketch and oil effects in my pieces- possibly for no other reason than I love all mediums of art. I start with a digital photograph and let form develop from there. I enjoy the depth and dimension in my pieces and hope you will find excitement and a bit of yourself in each of them...I invite you to enjoy my Portfolio .
