Oregon

It would be impossible for me to choose a favorite state, but Oregon would make my top 5. To know me is to know I am drawn to lush botanical greens and trees. I walk around my neighborhood and my eyes are so often skyward looking at the clouds, trees and birds that I wonder what my neighbors say.  Even when my camera is not in hand I am allowing my eyes to travel across branches and their relation to one another.  Water has always been another pull.  Be it waterfalls, or high mountain lakes and the beach where an Ocean that man has only explored a small percentage of meets the land that welcomes us with open arms.  Over the next few years I'd like to spend a lot more time in Oregon. Anyone want to come along?

Silver Falls State Park

People call it the “crown jewel” of the Oregon State Parks system, and once you visit, you know why. Silver Falls State Park is the kind of standout scenic treasure that puts Oregon firmly onto the national—and international—stage. Its beauty, boundless recreational opportunities and historic presence keep it there.
